The Benefits of Working at

  H & D Electric  prides itself on the integrity of its merit shop philosophy. At H & D, it is our intent to award wage increases before they are requested, as an acknowledgement of your efforts and abilities.
  H & D Electric  provides Medical Benefits to all employees and their families with Kaiser HMO. 100% of emloyee premiums, 50% of any dependents added. In addition to the HMO coverage, a $125 monthly contribution is made into your Health Savings Account established for you by H&D Electric.
  H & D Electric  provides Dental coverage to all employees and their families as well.  This coverage is through Premier Access, which includes a list of over 100 Dentist's throughout Sacramento & outlying areas. Again, this coverage costs the employee only $1.00 per month and $1.00 more for your entire family!
  H & D Electric  provides $10,000.00 Life Insurance to all employees who sign up for Medical or Dental Insurance.  
401(K) PENSION **...
  H & D Electric  provides a 401(K)-pension plan through OPPENHEIMER MUTUAL FUNDS.  The employee can benefit three ways from this plan:  


You can defer up to 15% of your income pre-tax into your 401(K) investment funds and begin earning interest on your pretax dollars toward your retirement.  



H & D Electric  pays a 25% match on your deferred wage, up to 6%.  This is equivalent to earning 25% interest immediately.  



H & D Electric pays annually up to 15% of your annual income as "Profit Sharing" into your 401(K) Retirement Plan. These contributions can add up to Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars over your career here at H & D Electric.  

  After 1 year of full time employment, H & D Electric. pays for seven legal holidays which include: New Years Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
    H & D Electric is a founding member of Western Electrical Contractor Association’s Premier Residential Apprenticeship Training Program. This 3 year program allows you to “earn while you learn”. While employed at H & D Electric , you qualify for sponsorship into this exclusive opportunity to attend class for 2 weeks each semester and learn the code, theories and applications of the Residential Electricians’ Profession. Simultaneously this Program qualifies you to take the upcoming “State Certification Test” to be implemented throughout the State of California.
  H & D Electric as an active member of WECA, sponsors it's employees to attend various Journeyman & Foreman training courses offered by WECA throughout the year.  These courses include 2-day Purdue University Project Management courses as well as Journeyman Code, Motors Control & AC/DC Theory and Test Pass Courses.

Medical, Dental & Life Insurance coverage begins for ALL full time employees, beginning with the 1st day of the month following 90 of employment.
401(K) qualifications begin after 1 year & 1500 hours of employment at H & D Electric.
